Rounding our our tribute to the late, great Rob Reiner, SETA Movie Club is proud to present his directorial debut, and what a debut!

𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑆𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑇𝑎𝑝 is considered the granddaddy of mockumentaries; without its influence we may well not have gotten such treasures as 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑂𝑓𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑒, 𝑅𝑒𝑛𝑜 911, 𝑜𝑟 𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑘𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛. Written by the stars and director of the movie, this classic from 1984 was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry due to being deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” by the Library of Congress, and was also selected to join the Criterion Collection.
