Nature is Calling your Name at Honor Heights Park

Ease into your outdoor adventures at Muskogee’s crown jewel, Honor Heights Park. Known for its lush landscapes and beautiful blooms, this park features walking trails, gardens, and serene ponds. If you’re visiting in spring, you will experience our stunning azalea gardens, and in fall, the leaves will be bright and beautiful. Walk the trails, visit the Butterfly Garden, and take in the views of the lake. For lunch, pack a picnic or grab food nearby. The park has shaded picnic areas where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Adventure Awaits on Three Forks Harbor

Head to Three Forks Harbor for a variety of water activities. Located along the Arkansas River, this harbor offers kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and scenic river views. Rent equipment if needed or join a group for a guided river experience. For those who prefer staying on land (we get it), the area also has walking and biking trails along the river, perfect for a leisurely afternoon stroll or scenic bike ride.

evening

Eat Like a Local

No need to get all dressed up for a fancy dinner after a day spent outside. Enjoy a casual hang at American Pie Wood-Fired Pizza for a hearty and relaxed dining experience that requires no reservations. Time to fuel up and rest up for day two.

Day 2
Morning

Take it Easy

How about a ride on Muskogee’s Greenway to start day two? We have a network of trails that winds through scenic areas and connects with the city’s natural surroundings. Whether you’re into mountain biking or a more relaxed ride, the Greenway offers trails for all levels. Bring your own bike or check for local rentals.

afternoon

On the Greens or Cruising the Highway

For those who enjoy a round of golf or two, the Muskogee Golf Club offers beautiful fairways surrounded by Oklahoma’s natural landscapes. This 18-hole course is open to non-members, so you can enjoy a round with friends or just practice your swing – we won’t judge.

Motorcycle ride through the countryside. Muskogee has scenic highways perfect for motorcycle drives, with expansive views and open roads. Head south on Highway 10 for a cruise through rolling hills and countryside, or explore local routes that lead to nearby nature areas. Plan your route in advance, as Oklahoma has beautiful byways ideal for taking in the scenery at your own pace.

evening

Plan to Jam

If your visit aligns with the Jeep Jam event (usually held annually in the fall), don’t miss this grand outdoor adventure. This seasonal event draws off-road enthusiasts for Jeep courses, mud pits, and trail riding. It’s a must-do for anyone who loves outdoor vehicles or an off-road challenge. Take it off the map, the trails are calling your name.
