NJCAA Region II Basketball Tournament Returns to Muskogee’s Rougher Village
MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The NJCAA Region II Basketball Tournament is returning to Muskogee’s Rougher Village, bringing postseason intensity, elite competition, and championship basketball to one of Oklahoma’s premier basketball venues.
This year’s tournament features some of the region’s most accomplished junior college programs, headlined by defending NJCAA Region II Men’s Champion and national runner-up Connors State College. Connors State’s return sets the stage for a highly anticipated title defense as they look to continue their dominance at both the regional and national levels.
On the women’s side, Murray State College returns as the defending NJCAA Region II Women’s Champion, aiming to repeat its championship run. However, the entire field is chasing a coveted spot in the NJCAA National Tournament bracket. NOC Enid, Seminole State, Redlands Community College, Western Oklahoma, NEO A&M, Eastern, NOC Tonkawa, Connors State (women), and Murray State (men) all have their eyes set on the Region II title.
Rougher Village provides a fitting backdrop for the Region II Tournament, offering a high-energy atmosphere for student-athletes, fans, and the Muskogee community alike. The event is expected to draw strong attendance as rivalries are renewed and championship dreams are put on the line.
Women’s quarterfinal action is set for March 11, while men’s competition begins on March 12. Semifinal games will take place on March 13, with women’s matchups in the afternoon and men’s games in the evening. Championship matchups are scheduled for March 14.
